Science recognises that our home environment plays a big role in our quality of life.
Living in an uncluttered and organized home has a positive impact not only on our comfort, but also in our general health and well-being.
It has been proven that cleaning, organizing, and de-cluttering can boost our mood, improve relationships, increase focus and energy, decrease stress and anxiety as well that aid in getting a restful sleep and facilitate exercise and weight loss efforts.

But all we know that despite the best of our intentions, life gets messy, and so does the house.
Things can easily get out of control when in top of already hectic days, we add health challenges and the need to adapt and accommodate for different abilities and needs.
Isn’t easy, but we are here to help.

Our focus is to provide our clients with the skills, tools, support and practical help for the healthy maintenance of their homes so they can remain safe, autonomous and independent.

How we work:
A different approach to clutter that looks the person in a holistic way, working in a collaborative manner for long term success

We understand the complex relationship between people, their possessions, and their homes.
It’s never about the stuff or simply “getting rid of things”.
Getting organized and declutter a house takes time, skills, commitment, willingness, and support.

Our approach is person-centred, compassionate, non-judgmental and holistic.
We look beyond the circumstances and take the time to know the person, their goals, needs, strengths and barriers.  Our holistic assessment, not only includes the personal impact of clutter and disorganization on the activities of daily living, but also how this affects family dynamics as well that community and social participation.
After gathering all the information, a goal is agreed, a plan is created, and work can get started.
As achieving long lasting success is easier with the support of a team, we look to work collaboratively and in partnership with the client, their families and other health professionals involved in their care. (Always respecting professional boundaries and client’s privacy)
Session progress is recorded and milestone reports are available.
The emphasis of our work is always in the safety and comfort of the client.
We believe in respecting their autonomy and authority over their lives, things and homes. Our role is to provide them tools, skills and support to achieve their goals with safety and efficiency strategically considering all the stake holders in the situation.

If you are looking to support a client that struggles with clutter and disorganization and you think would benefit from a holistic and respectful approach, we will love to help.
